Waking Waves is a place for people and organisations to reduce life and work stress and build lasting wellbeing, happiness and resilience. We make this possible through mindfulness and compassion centred courses and coaching, scientifically proven to do just that.
I started Waking Waves, with a clear intention. And that intention is to share the self-supportive tools, strategies and resources, which have helped me live healthier and happier, giving me greater balance and a clear sense of purpose in my life.
I’ve had a fair share of life and work stress over the last 8 years, the cost physically, mentally and emotionally, I hadn’t fully acknowledged, let alone had the courage to fully face until recent years. And I count myself very fortunate. I’ve always bounced back. But many wonderful things have happened during this time too, so I am also very grateful. I’m conscious some of us aren’t as fortunate, or as well supported.
But in the key difference in these recent years have been the steps I’ve taken to self-support, to intentionally invest in my wellbeing and increase my reserves of resilience.
I have found there is no ‘bouncing back’ needed, when you are firmly and presently anchored in a place of stability. I have also become much more aware of my vulnerabilities during difficult times but a lot less vulnerable in the face of adversity. And with the many wonderful things which also happened during this time, rather than simply cancelling out the ‘difficult moments’ they have significantly uplifted my happiness, health and wellbeing.
In working with Waking Waves, individuals and teams can make a lasting and sustainable investment in their mind and body wellbeing.
So that the waves of stress and currents of change we face, instead of overwhelming us, depleting our energy levels or affecting our performance in our job or our relationships; can become a source of learning, insight and adaptation, a time to self-care and heal and a great opportunity to increase focus and motivation. Waking Waves will give you an opportunity to turn the tide and chart a new course.
